Devin Carroll, Katy Operations Manager

Coach Devin was our previous Operations Manager at the Magnolia Location and he coached all star teams at the Oak Ridge North Location. Now he has gotten the privilege to Lead the fast growing and very talented Katy Location! Coach Devin was a late bloomer to cheerleading, but after starting cheer his second year of college he knew it was the sport for him. As an athlete, he has been a leader/captain on every team he was on, winning numerous regional, and national titles. As a coach/director, he has managed four different amazing all star/recreational programs, and two phenomenal University programs. He led many all-star, high school, and college teams to outstanding awards, NCA titles and more. Coach Devin has also been able to be on both sides of the Competition. With being on the judging circuit for many years and of course on the coaching side, his knowledge for this sport makes a full circle.   


Going into his 6th season with Woodlands Elite, he attributes his success to his warm personality,  self- disciplined work ethic and most importantly his love to grow these athletes into great role models through this amazing sport of cheer. 


As a choreographer, Devin has had the opportunity to take his creativity all over the United States, as well as internationally. He says God has definitely blessed him with a home at Woodlands Elite and as you can see the blessings are still raining down.

Sheryl Wyles, All-Star Director

Sheryl Wyles has spent her life immersed in the cheer world.  She cheered at Dulles High School and soon after graduating became a staff member for UCA.  Sheryl spent 5 summers traveling around Texas coaching and heading cheer camps for UCA.  In addition to being on UCA staff during her college days, Sheryl is a former TCU cheerleader.


After graduating from TCU Sheryl became a high school counselor and cheer coach at Kingwood High School.  During this time she also was a judge for American Cheer Power where she judged for 4 years. 


Sheryl was coaching all-star cheer before she joined Woodlands Elite in 2014.  She now coaches many of our teams at the Katy location.  Her favorite thing in the world is to build confidence in a child and watch them achieve their dreams! 


Sheryl’s birthday is March 28th.  She is married and has three girls who cheer for WE.  If you bring her chocolate she will be your best friend forever!


Tremain Fedke, Recreational Director

Tremain is a Houston native with 19 years of experience in competitive cheerleading. Tremain started his all-star life at Texas Cheer while in high school. After graduation he attended Kilgore junior college, where he cheered, then transferred to the University of Houston where he obtained his degree in Kinesiology. The past year he took a break from competitive cheer, while he managed a recreational gymnastics academy in Missouri City. Prior to that he was the director of CheerNation, in Katy,  then with Prodigy Allstars. Tremain has a passion for competitive cheer and seeing young athletes reach their full potential, and have fun while doing so. He takes pride in helping athletes develop into strong individuals with winning attitudes while teaching life lessons along the way. He is happy to join the Woodlands Elite family and is looking forward to helping build something truly special in Katy.


Justin Castleberry, Instructor

Justin is originally from Mansfield, Arkansas, where he cheered at Mansfield High School for four years. His team won the State Championship his sophomore, junior and senior year in the Small Coed Division. Throughout this time he was also involved with All-Star Cheer. He helped coach and competed with River Valley Elite on their Level 4 Large Coed team for three years. Justin has also won numerous Grand Championships. He eventually went on to help open Statik Fuzion. He was their Head Tumbling Instructor also coached All-Star. Justin won five National Titles in the Level 1 and 2 Divisions while coaching at Statik. He’s been coaching cheer and tumbling for 11 years now! He has a broad range of tumbling expertise from Beginner, to Layouts and Fulls. He brings a lot of energy and positivity to Woodlands Elite! Coaching is Justin’s passion and he loves kids. Outside of cheer Justin loves to go to church and eat spaghetti! He loves cheer, Reeces candy and football!



Thomas Manney, Instructor

Coach Thomas started out as a power tumbler and was a 2x Power Tumbling National Champion in Levels 6 and 9. He was also in the Top 5 for Level 10 Open Power Tumbling and in 2002 he was crowned Trio (individuals) National Champion! In 2009 he won NCA College Nationals with Navarro College. Coach Thomas also cheered at Sam Houston State University and the University of Central Arkansas. He was worked at Woodlands Elite Oak Ridge in the past coaching tumbling and at the Magnolia location helping the flyers program. For the last three years, Coach Thomas has been coaching at Adrenaline and was Flyer Program Coordinator. He is excited to be reunited with his Woodlands Elite FAMILY!



Iordan Batchvarov, Instructor

Iordan Batchvarov was born in Bulgaria and started gymnastics at the age 6. Gymnastics and tumbling are in his blood-both of his parents were gymnasts and Olympic coaches. At the end of his competitive career, Iordan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. He is fluent in 4 languages and has taught all levels of gymnastics and tumbling in the Katy area since 1997. He enjoys outdoor activities and travelling. Iordan loves Mexican food but has never eaten at Taco Bell!


DeVante Freeman, Instructor

DeVante Freeman is an instructor at our Katy location. DeVante discovered his love for coaching and helping others in 2010 when he became a Gymnastics power tumbling coach! From there he would graduate from Dickinson High School in 2011, and take his love of tumbling to cheer for the University of Houston (Go Coogs!) for the next 3 years.
DeVante is no newbie to All-Star either! From coaching teams of all ages to judging, DeVante has been in the All-Star cheer industry for 8 years. He has also cheered competitively for 3 years and competed in the cheerleading worlds in 2014! DeVante has developed a true passion and love for the sport, and looks forward to the challenge when learning new skills! 
DeVante is more than excited to be joining the WE family, and looks forward to impacting many athletes here with us! His birthday is September 10th, and if there’s two things he loves as much as cheer, it’s super heroes and Sour Patch Watermelon candy! It works every time!
